With all the focus on consumerism and canned romance, Valentine’s Day can sometimes feel like it’s missing the point entirely. Try these self-love tips to help centre yourself back in your heart and remember you are worthy of love because you are love personified. 

1. Treat yourself to a lie in or a day off work 

2. Cozy up with a cup of heart-opening cacao  

3. Book a day spa or massage for some pampering

4. Take yourself out on a date to somewhere you’ve always wanted to go 

5. Do something creative or make your own piece of inspired self-love art 

6. Write yourself a love letter or poem to honour all your best qualities 

7. Buy yourself some flowers or go for a nature walk and hug a tree to soak up the love of mama Earth

8. Cook your favourite meal and eat it by soft candlelight, while listening to heart-opening mantras 

9. Phone a dear friend for a deep and meaningful chat 

10. Run a lovely warm bath with rose oil, rose petals and candles 

11. Write your own self-care list and make self-love a priority
